How to limit the number of automatic internal links?
Applying an appropriate number of automatic internal links in each post is extremely important for the website SEO and for increasing the number of pages visited by the users.
With Interlinks Manager, you have many customization options to configure this aspect.
Limit the number of automatic internal links of a specific keyword
Proceed to the Interlinks -> AIL menu and set the number of occurrences you want to convert to an automatic internal link in the Limit field.
It’s important to note that a plugin option named Limit, available in the Interlinks -> Options menu, allows you to set the default value of the Limit field of the Interlinks -> AIL menu.
Limit the total number of automatic internal links in a post
Limiting the total number of automatic internal links that the plugin can apply in a post is fundamental if you have a high number of keywords.

Set a fixed values
To set a fixed maximum value, visit the Options section of the Interlinks -> Options – > Automatic Links tab and proceed as follows:
- Set the General Limit Mode option to “Manual”.
- Set the maximum number of automatic internal links of the posts in the General Limit (Amount) option.
Set an automatic value based on the length of the post
To set the maximum number of automatic internal links based on the length of the post, proceed as follows:
- Set the General Limit Mode option to “Auto”.
- Set the General Limit (Characters per AIL) option to a numeric value that represents the ideal number of characters per automatic internal link.
Limit the number of automatic internal links that point to the same URL
Assume that you have multiple keywords with the same target as represented in this table:
